Chatydesk vs Superchat vs Chatarmin: Which WhatsApp Business API Tool Fits a Small EU Business?

Michael Kwame Adjei6 min read

Search for a WhatsApp Business API tool in Europe and you will keep landing on the same three names: Superchat, Chatarmin and, increasingly, Chatydesk. They all sit on top of the official WhatsApp Business Platform, and they all say "GDPR". But they are built for different jobs, and picking on price alone is how small businesses end up paying for the wrong thing.

This is a fair, side-by-side look. We build Chatydesk, so we have a stake in the answer, which is why we only state competitor facts we could verify on their public pages, and why we tell you where they are the better fit.

As of Oct 2026. Features and prices change often. Treat this as a starting point and confirm the details on each vendor's own site before you commit.

Superchat's and Chatarmin's details come from their public pricing pages as of Oct 2026. Chatydesk's come from our own pricing.

Who each one suits

Superchat suits teams that talk to customers on several channels and want them in one shared inbox. Its pricing page lists WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, live chat, email and SMS. If your support desk lives across those channels, that breadth is the point, and it is stronger there than a WhatsApp-first tool.

Chatarmin suits online shops. Its pricing page describes WhatsApp marketing for e-commerce, with newsletters, flows such as abandoned-cart and win-back, integrations like Shopify and WooCommerce, and an AI service offering. If your WhatsApp use is campaigns and shop automation, it is built for that.

Chatydesk suits people who sell their time: coaches, consultants, therapists, tutors, small agencies. The difference is finishing the job inside the conversation. A customer picks a slot from an interactive list (synced with your Google Calendar) and pays through Stripe without leaving WhatsApp. A shared inbox and a sales pipeline sit around that. It is not the right pick if you need a dozen channels or shop-scale marketing automation.

Price

Chatydesk starts at 39 EUR per month. The AI knowledge base is part of the Premium plan, because every answered message is a live AI call.

Superchat lists a free plan limited to 1 number, 1 employee login and 30 active contacts. Paid plans on its pricing page are Basic at 89 EUR, Professional at 149 EUR and Advanced at 299 EUR per month, listed as net prices with a 12-month minimum term. Extra employee logins and extra numbers are add-ons. WhatsApp conversation fees from Meta are listed separately.

Chatarmin does not publish prices for its marketing or customer service plans. It asks you to request a custom plan based on your volume.

Whichever you choose, Meta's own message fees apply on top of any of these tools. From 1 October 2026 Meta also starts charging for service messages, with 1,000 free per number per month. Our guide to the WhatsApp Business pricing changes has the numbers.

GDPR and EU hosting

For a European business this is often the deciding question, and the honest answer is that you should ask for documents, not badges.

Chatydesk runs on the official Meta Cloud API, stores personal data on EU infrastructure, and signs a data processing agreement (DPA). We explain what to look for in our GDPR WhatsApp CRM guide.

Superchat and Chatarmin both address the European market and describe themselves as GDPR-conscious. We have not audited their hosting or contracts, so ask each vendor for its current DPA, data location and sub-processor list. Do the same for us.

Setup

Chatydesk runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API and is set up without a developer. Superchat's pricing page lists onboarding and technical setup support from its Professional plan. Chatarmin lists guided onboarding on its marketing plan. If setup help matters to you, ask what is included at your tier, since it varies by plan.

AI replies from your own content

Chatydesk's AI knowledge base answers customers using only the FAQ, pricing and policy text you paste into Settings. It replies in the customer's language, and it hands the conversation to a human when your text does not contain the answer. We wrote about how it works in AI-assisted replies from your own knowledge base.

Superchat lists AI agents from its Professional plan, with more at higher tiers and extra agents as an add-on. Chatarmin lists an AI chatbot with training data, product guidance and escalation to human agents. All three take AI seriously, so the useful test is a demo with your own questions: does it stay inside your content, and does it hand off cleanly?

Booking and payments inside the chat

This is where the tools differ most. Chatydesk offers native booking with Google Calendar sync and Stripe payments in the chat, with no platform fee from us on those payments. If your customers currently get a scheduling link, then a payment link, then a reminder, see how to book calls from WhatsApp and how to take payments on WhatsApp.

Superchat and Chatarmin can be connected to other tools through integrations, but in-chat booking and payments are not what they lead with. If you already have a booking and payments stack you love, that may be fine for you.

Multiple WhatsApp numbers

Chatydesk lets one account run several WhatsApp numbers. Superchat's plans include 1, 3 or 5 numbers by tier, and lists extra numbers at 49 EUR per month. Chatarmin lists unlimited numbers on its marketing plan. Limits and prices change, so confirm before you plan around them.

So which should you pick?

  • You run coaching, consulting or a service business and want booking and payment in the chat: Chatydesk.
  • You run a support or sales team across WhatsApp, Instagram, email and more: Superchat.
  • You run an online shop and want WhatsApp campaigns and automations: Chatarmin.

Not sure which camp you are in? Start with the job you need done, then compare prices. For a German-language version of this comparison, see Chatydesk vs. Superchat vs. Chatarmin (DE). If you are still deciding whether you need the API at all, read WhatsApp Business app vs API, or the WhatsApp Business API guide.
